Qigong is a 5000 year old Chinese science of longevity, human potential, and development. There are over 3’000 styles of Qigong. The most commonly known style in the West is Tai Chi.
Qigong is an exercise form to harmonise body, breath and spirit. It is based on Taoism, an ancient Chinese philosophy which emphasises living in harmony with nature.
The Chinese philosopher and author of “Tao te Ching” Lao Tzu (Laozi) is considered the founding father of philosophical Taoism. Qigong is one of the 4 main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), alongside acupuncture, herbal medicine and medical massage.
